Meet Cathrine

Cathrine Goldstein is a writer, theatre artist, and teacher who creates gritty, "real-feeling" works. With decades of experience as a playwright, novelist, and educator, her writing has been produced and published nationally and internationally. She has worked in theatre as a writer, director, producer, and teacher, supporting numerous artists on their journeys as well.

Cathrine’s professional theatre work also includes extensive leadership and service. She has served on theatre boards, founded and led multiple theatre companies, and worked in managing and artistic leadership roles, contributing to both creative programming and organizational development. Her most meaningful experiences include the volunteer theatre work she does with hospitals and children centers, as well as supporting artists while helping sustain creative communities.

Cathrine holds a master’s degree in Theatre History and a bachelor’s degree in English (British Literature). Alongside her work in writing and theatre, she has spent many years as a yoga teacher and studio manager, specializing in trauma-informed education, and caregiving. Cathrine is also the founder of Yoga Care for Caregivers, an organization dedicated to supporting those who care for others.

Outside of her professional life, Cathrine is fortunate to be in a long-term marriage, and is the mom of two wonderful humans and two scrappy rescue beagles—one mostly toothless.
